A woman was raped twice and sexually assaulted on the seafront of a popular seaside town, a court has heard. A man who was arrested and charged with carrying out the alleged horror attack in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, on February 16, will now face trial later this year.
Luis Brazao, 31, of Seafield Close, Yarmouth, appeared before Norwich Crown Court on Wednesday where he is accused of raping the woman twice and committing two further sexual assaults close on the popular resort’s beachfront.
The alleged multiple sex attack occurred in the early hours of the morning close to the town’s Victoria Arcade.
Brazao, who spoke through a Portuguese interpreter, denied all the charges against him.
Judge Katharine Moore set a trial to begin on August 20. Brazao was remanded in custody ahead of the impending trial.
